M. Lazzarini, M.D.

Doctor Lazzarini attended New York
Medical College where he was recognized for his outstanding
achievement when he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha National
Medical Honor Society in his junior year. Upon graduation, he won
both the General Surgery Department’s Award of Excellence and the
Orthopaedic Surgery Department’s Award-an accomplishment that has
not since been repeated.
Dr. Lazzarini continued at New York Medical College for his
residency, and gained extensive experience managing orthopaedic
trauma at Westchester Medical Center, the only American College of
Surgeon certified Level I trauma center in the State of New York,
and St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center in New York City which
garnered national recognition following the September 11th tragedy.
After completing his residency, Dr. Lazzarini continued his
orthopaedic training with a challenging Adult Reconstruction
Fellowship at the world-renowned Hospital for Special Surgery in New
York City. During his fellowship, he concentrated on primary and
revision total joint reconstruction for arthritis of the hip, knee,
and shoulder, minimally invasive surgical techniques, computer
assisted surgery, and hip arthroscopy.
Dr. Lazzarini grew up locally attending Las Lomas High School in
Walnut Creek and graduating with a degree in Physiology from the
University of California at Davis. Dr. Lazzarini is committed to
providing the very best orthopaedic care for our community with a
dedication to compassionate care for his patients.
